Humanisation
The implementation of these two projects in 2024 represents progress in strengthening the connection between MAPEX and the SEFH Humanisation Guide, based on its commitment to patients, one of the core pillars of the 2023–2027 Strategic Plan.
Adoption and Recognition of the Value of the CMO Model
In the face of challenges such as the broader implementation of the CMO model in hospitals, it is necessary to pause for a moment in order to subsequently gain greater momentum. In this regard, the strategic design project Adoption and Recognition of the Value of the CMO Model will help us to focus more effectively and, consequently, move even closer to our objectives.
Working with patient associations, management teams and the Outpatient Units of Hospital Pharmacy Departments themselves, in order to gain first-hand insight into the potential barriers and motivations faced by the CMO model, and using this as a basis to approach solutions that may drive its implementation, will be of great value in extending the model increasingly across hospitals and thereby reaching more patients.
CMO Model – Adoption and Value Enhancement Project
Patient Experience Tool
Another opportunity for MAPEX lies in improving the experience of patients throughout their contact with the Outpatient Units of Hospital Pharmacy Departments and with the CMO model. Through the development of a tool created using a human-centred design methodology and focused on understanding patients’ lived experience throughout the care process, we continue to advance the improvement of the MAPEX project, directly connected to the Humanisation Guide, promoting the active involvement of the people engaged in the pharmaceutical care process.
